Poet Mahogany L. Browne, writer Najha Zigbi-Johnson, community organizer Willie Kearse and others will join Samora Pinderhughes for an evening of poetry and community discussion. "Call and Response" is the title of The Healing Project's recent exhibition at MoMA and the theme of The Healing Project Magazine's inaugural issue. This event at Brooklyn Peace Center will help launch the magazine and features some of the issue's contributors.
Note: This event is presented as part of The Healing Project's appearance at Bedford Central Presbyterian Church on Feb. 21 for the Jazz Generations Initiative's Voices of Healing & Liberation concert. This engagement of The Healing Project was initially scheduled for Feb. 24, and was postponed to April 2 due to inclement weather.
